I’m Sara Farzan, founder of Sara’s Garden. I started this business in 2015 after leaving my home in the Middle East and moving to Australia. I was born in Tehran and my success in the business world took me all over the globe, but moving to Australia changed everything.

It was here in Australia that I had a bolt of inspiration. It was as though Australia's beautiful nature spoke to me and I quickly wanted to connect more deeply with it. Over many months, that feeling kept growing and I soon realised that to immerse myself in the beauty of Sydney, I needed to devote myself to building a sustainable, environmentally friendly business. The choice was clear, although not easy. 

I first started by creating handmade ceramic planters from locally sourced Australian clay and placing beautiful air plants and succulents inside. Armed with these wares, I went to Sydney’s famous Kirribilli Markets to connect with other artists and the customers there.

With a little luck and a lot of hard work, care and attention to details, my business began to grow into what it is today. Sara’s Garden now offers a wide variety of plant gifts, organic tea, organic seeds... and more, all conveniently available online.
